What is an adjustment?

Chiropractic adjustment is a therapeutic procedure (joint manipulation) whose strength, direction, amplitude and velocity are controlled. Chiropractic adjustment, the primary goal of which is to restore and optimize the mobility or alignment of a joint, can be performed on both the joints of the spine and other joints of the human body. This procedure also aims to influence joint physiology and neurophysiology. Fit is an important part of a chiropractic doctor’s job. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes that only the chiropractor is adequately trained to perform this gesture with great precision.
